Data Science Defined.

Defined.
If Data Science was a kid, it would have 3 parents: math, statistics, and computer science. IBM has a great YouTube Video explaining what the subject is. In short, data science is a cycle: acquisition, cleaning, analysis, and prediciton.
The Past.
Born from its parents of statistics and computing, data science first originated in 1962 when John Tukey coined the term and gave fuel to the era of big data.
The Present.
Today, data science powers everything from search engines on your favorite apps (e.g. Amazon, YouTube, and Spotify) to medical research. Modern data scientists are equal parts analyst, coder, and storyteller.
The Future.
In the coming years, AI and machine learning will automate many analytical tasks, but this new technology poses ethical challenges like bias and privacy concerns. The next era of data science will value both innovation and responsibility.
